This is a very challenging route. It's especially for experienced and good condition bikers.

The starting point is some kilometers after the town of Puriscal (Central Valley). On this route you will descend from the central valley to the pacific coast.

The gravel road has up hills and down hills. You start at an elevation of 1300 meters above sea level and at the ending point you will be at sea level. On the way you will pass pretty small towns.

If you are not in good condition you better try any other of our one day biking tours in order to avoid complaints.

At the beginning, the tour guide will give you a bottle of water to put it in your bike. In the van there will be more water and you can stop the van as many times as you consider you need more water, nuts or tropical fruits to energize.

You will have lunch somewhere along the way at the time you estimate you need to get more energy to fulfill this task. The route is 65 kilometers long.

Our van will follow you all the way from the beginning to the end and will have permanent contact with your tour guide through radio and walkie talkie. If any of the participants gets too tired or simple decide not to continue, the vehicle will be available at any time to stop and put your bike on top of the van and the biker can just sit in the van and relax while the others continue to the ending point.

As we reach the road that passes parallel to the Pacific Ocean, we will stop and place all bikes on top of the vans and then will return to San José.
