Coronado is a beautiful town located in the east of San José. It is a town with steep mountains and it keeps foggy most of the year.

Starting in front of the church, we take the paved road for two kilometers to reach the rough road that leads us through dairy farms and single track segments.

The temperature here is chilli and foggy. We recommend to bring extra clothing in case you get wet due to rain or excess of fog.

The route is not too long but difficult as there are to many steep hills.

Along the route we will see cows for milk as this is the main production in the area, as well as coffee plantations.

The landscape from many of the points we will stop are awesome. You can see San José from the mountains of Coronado.

Our van will wait for you in town where we will have lunch. At this time you will be very hungry as the temperature and the exercise will take out a lot of energy from you.

If you wish to continue biking after lunch, we will take you to Rancho Redondo from where you can bike on a dirt road for a few kilometers to the town of Llano Grande and then return to San José.
