Ride your bike on rural roads in Costa Rica, bike on white sand beaches, African palm plantations, Teak and melina forests as well as livestock. Take a hike through the Rain Forest at Manuel Antonio National Park watching wild life all around you. Manuel Antonio is the only place in Costa Rice where you can see the four species of monkeys existing in the country together.
Kayak on the blue-green and transparent waters of the Pacific Ocean in two different areas of the coast line. The climate remains hot and the sun will be available all the time you need it. Do not miss the dusk, a view only seen in post cards.
5 days - 4 nights
Day # 1: Leave from San José through the Pan-American highway and then the road to the Pacific. We will descend from the Central Valley to the sea level. As we arrive to Quepos we get into our hotel and then get ready for our first journey. We will bike in the region through African Palm plantations for three hours and then return to the hotel in order to enjoy the beginning of the dusk.

Day # 2: Hike in the Manuel Antonio National Park. When hiking at the National Park you get to se the four species of monkeys in Costa Rica. As shown in the photo, a long time ago there was a huge rock close to the shore. As time passed, the sand was acccumulating between the rock and the shore and now you can see they met and the rock now form part of the firm land. When you walk in the park you go around this rock that know is part of the park.
After the walk you do Kayaking in Damas River.
Day
# 3: Sea Kayaking, challenging open ocean, paddle
along the coastline. This is an adventure you can not miss. The whole area is
fascinating as civilization has penetrated very little and slowly here.
Day # 4: Bike from Quepos to San Marcos de Tarrazú. This is a kind of heavy biking as you're most time going up hill. The road is excellent for biking and the views are unforgettable. As we arrive to San Marcos de Tarrazú, we will get in the vehicle to continue to a hotel in "Cerro de la Muerte", one of the highest places in Costa Rica. The temperature here is kind of cold. We will stay in a hotel of this area.
Day
# 5: Bike in the surrounding areas with cold climate.
This region is famous for the Quetzal birds. This bird is beautiful and hard
to find in America. Costa Rica has a lot of them and this is the best place
to see it.
Believe it or not, at this elevation you will find sea shell fossils. When the dinosaurs disappeared at the end of the cretaceous, Costa Rica, the north of Panama and the southern part of Nicaragua were in the bottom of the sea.
The intense volcanic activities in the tertiary era started to build this part of America. North America and South America were separated one from the other until the volcanic activity made Costa Rica merge from the sea and continued until it got the elevation you are now standing.
After a combination of nature and exercise, we get our lunch and get ready to return to San José.
